Unable to check out licenses from remote linux machine

We are using FLEXnet License manager v11.6.1.0 build 66138. The scenario of deployment is such that the server is running on a Linux machine and client on a different linux machine. We are unable to check out licenses when we deploy the client and server in the above mentioned scenario. The error that comes is:
Can't connect to License Sercer (-15, 3002) (Connection refused)

Whereas, the following deployment is running correctly (license checkin checkout is successful):
1. Server on Linux and Client on Windows
2. Server on Windows and Client on Linux
3. Server on Windows and Client on Windows

The Linux machines are Redhat 3.4.6-3 EL and windows are MS Windows 2003 server.


Is there any additional step that we need to do for the failure scenario that we are facing?
